Ordering
  • We will not sell to anyone under the age of 18
  • In the unlikely event that a product is unavailable when you place your order, we shall contact you to arrange replacement, or another acceptable arrangement for the completion of your order
  • We reserve the right not to accept any order
  • We have no minimum order requirement

Delivery

  • We guarantee delivery within ten days of your order, except for items which are specifically indicated as taking longer. However, if it is impossible to come to a mutually agreeable delivery arrangement in this time, the actual delivery time may be extended until such arrangement is guaranteed
  • We may use an independent carrier. The carrier will only attempt to deliver the product twice, after which we regret that you will be responsible for making your own arrangements with them for delivery. The products will be returned to our warehouse if they have not been collected from the carrier within 21 days.

Prices

  • All our prices are currently exempt of VAT
  • Promotional offers and prices are as stated, with no further discounts available.

Returns

  • We will provide a full refund or replacement for any products that are faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights
  • We may require faulty products to be returned to us. We will arrange this as necessary at your convenience.

Cancellations and complaints

  • You may cancel your order at any time until seven working days after delivery. Should you decide to cancel, all charges to you will be refunded as soon as the goods are returned in merchantable condition.
  • In the event of complaint please e-mail sales@virtualtapedrive.com giving as much detail as you can. All complaints will be acknowledged within 48 hours and you can expect a full resolution of your complaint within a further 72 hours. You will be kept informed if there is any delay beyond this. Each complaint will be treated as confidential and will be attended to by a senior manager or director.

Credit, Debit and Charge Cards

  • Virtualtapedrive process all card purchases through WorldPay for a fee. Those customers that pay wholly by card pay 1.7% of the total to WorldPay Merchant Services. The balance of 98.3% is paid to Virtualtapedrive Limited for the goods or services. The total price is unaffected by the method of payment used.

Card Security

Card payment security Security is probably one of the most significant concerns for both you, the client, and ourselves during an online transaction. In reality an online transaction is probably more secure than a card transaction in a shop or conducted over the telephone or by fax, as the information transmitted online is highly encrypted using complicated logarithm combinations.

The WorldPay payment system uses a combination of both established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. Furthermore, their public web servers are certified by Thawte, a public Certificate Authority, ensuring that both the client and firm can have confidence that nobody can impersonate WorldPay to obtain confidential information.

Transaction Encryption The transfer of the purchase details from our web site to Worldpay are encapsulated using their own encrypted and digitally-signed protocol. This uses a combination of standard methods such as PGP, RSA and MD5 to ensure that the information passed is secure and tamper-proof. Security for the Shopper Any communication between the client and WorldPay is also encrypted to the maximum strength supported by the client's browser using TLS or 128 BitSSL. Clients are also protected from fraudulent use of their card in a "card not present" environment, by their card issuers.

The card issuers provides the right for the cardholder to dispute a transaction if the card was used fraudulently. Data storage on WorldPay systems, and the communication between WorldPay and the worldwide banking networks, is regularly audited by the banking authorities to ensure a secure transaction environment. WorldPay also ensure that they stay up-to-date with the latest versions of any third-party code they use, and continually review their own proprietary code. 


7 day cooling off period
in addition to our returns policy, under the Distance Selling Regulations EU customers have seven working days (beginning the day after receipt) to cancel your purchase. Order cancellations must be made in writing to Customer Services quoting your order number. In this case, we will provide a full refund but you must return the cancelled items to us. If we do not receive the cancelled items back, we may arrange to collect them from you at your cost.
